Would a tattoo on the wrist be detrimental to ones career?

I’ve been wanting a (non-offensive) tattoo on my wrist for the longest time. It would either be totally around the wrist, or on the underside of it.
However, I am curious if others think it will be detrimental to my career. I work with computers currently, but plan on going to school to pursue a career as a veterinarian. My idea is that, when absolutely needed, the wrist tattoo can be covered with a watch, bracelet, or long sleeves.

A professional career within an office or such maybe, I cant see it having a huge effect on a career as a vet though. Unless where you live people aren’t really into tattoos.
Yes, if a professional career is what you want, it could be detrimental to your career.
Yes very detrimental. It’s pretty hard to keep a tattoo like that covered, especially with a bracelet or watch, they slide around a lot. Long sleeves would work better but I don’t think you would like having to wear them all the time and not even being able to slide them up a little. There are plenty of other areas that are much easier to cover that you’d still be able to show off.
A wrist would be hard to completely cover – even with long sleeves. Especially if you’re wanting to be a vet as you need to be able to wash your hands. Most vets wear scrubs or a short-sleeved shirt for that reason.
If you want something around your wrist – get a watch or bracelet. And if you want a tattoo – get it elsewhere on your body.
It depends on what you plan to do with your career. If you do go into veterinary medicine you could own your own office like my mother in law. That way it doesn’t matter how many tattoos you have. If you share an office or work with someone it could be more of a problem for customer service, but animals won’t really care right? It won’t be too detrimental as long as you assure any bosses that it can be covered if they want it to be.
I think your idea is just fine. You will be able to cover it with a watch. There isn’t any reason why you should not go for it!
i have had nurses who have has visible tattoos and also gone to vets offices where not only the techs (also the dr) had tats but facial piercings. but considering all you want is a wrist tattoo( i would go under side) it can be covered and shouldnt be that big of a deal. you can use tattoo cover up make up or wear a watch for interviews
put it on the underside of your wrist, its the easiest place to hide if need be
I do not believe it would be detrimental to any career. Mind you I am currently a university student and have no real career experience, that is a merely my opinion. I have a tattoo on my inner wrist, slightly larger than the size of a quarter. It is completely covered when I wear long sleeved shirts, sweaters etc, and watches cover it as well. I have not had one person in the 3 months I have had the tattoo ever notice it.
