What is your opinion on this tattoo?

I really would like to get a tatoo on my lower back.I was just going to get a cross but then I came across this tattoo.http://tattoo.about.com/library/graphics/mariedove.jpg
I love it.Would it look good on my lower back though?Later on I was thinking about getting the words free bird around it.What do you think?Just giving a guess how much do you think this would cost?Thank you.

i think it would look really good. i have no clue how much it would cost tho. my guess is maybe 70-90 dollars.

Why would you want to mark yourself up? I think its a nice picture, but do you really want a bird looking down the crack of your butt for the rest of your life? Think about how that would look when you’re 40!

Watch placement, though. If you want an epidural when you have children, make sure it’s somewhere that you can still get that done.
Also, consider very very carefully before you get a tattoo of any kind. Remember, unless you’ve got several thousand for removal, a tattoo is for LIFE. I’d suggest that unless you really love this tattoo, and are going to want it forever, you keep looking until you find something that means the world to you. The first one is always difficult to decide, but decide carefully.
I think it would look better on the back of your shoulder
its beautiful. But I would use it as a reference. Always make sure your tatts are customized to you. Showing up with that and telling a tattoo artist "i want the exact same thing" he or she is not only going roll their eyes(and possibly laugh) but possibly charge you more. look up some pics of birds (not just bird tats) and go from there.
It’s pretty, but it’s very clearly someone else’s ink. No decent artist is going to copy someone else’s work.
I think that it would look great on your lower back. It would probedly cost between 80-100 dollers and maybe more dependiing on were you go.

I think it is a lovely ond fashioned tattoo, but have yours similar, custom just for you.
Also , the area where you re thinking of getting it, lower center back has lots of negative names.
a&& hat, tramp stamp, etc.
I would bet it on my shoulder or thigh, or even wrap around the hip waist area.
I agree with the other posters, do not get the wording with it.
IT is a lovely design.
i LOOVVVEE the tattoo, although I think the best placement would be off to one side or the other. Not smack dab in the middle. I just don’t think it will look right, it’ll look like the bird is gonna do a nose-dive into your butt crack.
I like the idea though. Not sure about the words though either. I think you could come up with a better phrase.
i thinks its a cool tat and not a bad idea but i would be more original and have something more symbolic to you and there is also a negative representation for that spot on the body so be careful but good luck …
