What colour tattoo would be best to cover up a silly medium green tattoo?
Before the lectures start, ironically, my mother is the one with the tattoo. I am 15, so not even legal for a tattoo for quite a while yet.
The tattoo that needs covering up is about the size of a palm, it is a shamrock with a mans name in it.
this is an honest question, but i understand if it sounds a bit trollish, sorry if it does.
what colors would you recommend?
These are similar to my mothers tattoo:

This is nearly exactly the same

…if you mean you want to cover it so there is no tattoo, then you can use makeup:
>neutralize the green hue with a magenta/pink color
>cover with a dusting of skin-tone/translucent powder
>use of tattoo lighteners can help, you could even get tattoo removal (alot of $$ though)
OR
…if you mean you want to have a tattoo but just in a different color/design:
>color change:
~consider commercial tattoo lighteners (to make a lighter color)
~add very little blue to create an aqua
~add some yellow to make a brighter green
~add some magenta to make a brownish color
~cover it up with black
>change design:
~copy the tattoo onto paper & see how you can draw over it to change the image
~black ink can easily cover other colors so you might want to consider that
~make sure (reallyyy sure) that the new tattoo is one that your mom will want to keep
~consult with a pro tattoo artist to see if what you want to do to the tattoo is possible
Pink would be the best
She should ask her tattoo artist. They will know, they are the best people to ask since they do it professionally.
If she is Irish and into her celtic roots, she could get a gorgeous celtic knot with the background shaded green?
