hi im planning on getting a tattoo of a cupcake on my foot i take to pain pretty well but people scare me telling me about the pain is it really that bad??? plus ita my first one…
yea a cupcake cuz im really girlie and i have a strange obsession with them if you knew me you would understand

It depends on where your tattoo is placed & your own pain tolerance. How sensitive are your feet?
In general, areas where there is less fatty tissue or more nerves, tend to be more painful.
Take a needle or safety pin & tap it repeatedly in the area you want your tattoo, don’t draw blood, this will give you an idea of what you can expect.
My personal exp. has been that it is more of a burning sensation with the most painful part being the outline as the needle penetrates deeper than shading needles and the body hasn’t had a chance to start throwing out its painkillers yet.
its not bad…unless you are getting your ribs done then it really hurts….you will be fine

im sorry to tell you but because its on your foot it will hurt pretty bad.. it always hurts worse on bone..i have one of my butt and it didnt hurt at ALL but thats because its all fat.. im sorry but you might want to bring tylenol for the pain

Nah, its not that painful. You get used to it very quickly. Its like being pricked repeatedly with a needle. No drama at all.
The pain is very tolerable. However, make sure you really want the tattoo. The best I’ve seen is to take a picture of the tattoo you want and post in a place where you can see it every day for six months. If you’re not sick of it by then and still like it, go for it!

I personally don’t have any tats, but my sister and friends do and I hear that the foot is one of the worst places for pain! Do you have any piercings? Because my sister also told me that her lip piercing hurt more than her tattoos. But she has one on her stomach and one on her shoulder, not her foot. I have heard that the foot is one of the places that hurts the most though. But if you want it, just do it!
My advice don’t get one yes they are very painful and when your 99 it will still be there and it will look very bad lol

Its not that bad. Besides what’s an hour of pain for something thats’s going to make you happy for a lifetime? Do you have a picture of your tattoo design? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cupcake tattoo.
Bony areas are going to hurt more than fleshy areas. It depends a lot on your pain tolerance too. Honestly, if it were me, I’d pick a more fleshy area for your first tattoo and see how it goes. Try your calf or thigh if you want it on your leg.
ok, first of all i hope you have thought about this tat for awhile and are sure its what you want. no as far as pain goes i am unsure about the foot area but i got one on my throat and even the guy that did it said i would be cryin like a baby, but i barely felt it. i have 4 tats and none of them hurt even though 2 of them were supposed to hurt alot. now i have heard that if you get it right on a boney area it hurts a little more but if its is something meaningful it will all be worth it and i say do it and be tough.
Grin and bear it! Tattoo’s are addicting tho, once you get one, you’ll want more! It really doesn’t hurt, it just stings a little. If you can take pain well, you should be fine.;-)~~~
no one can really answer that for you because people have different pain thresholds and it is very individual.
i heard many stories and while most of them say that it does not hurt too bad, a few said their first ones hurt heaps. but do u know the best story that i heard? some places offer numbing cream
Yes its going to hurt. and to Queen they are not bad for your health. Thats a really stupid wives tale
who ever said to take tylenol, dont. pain killers thin your blood and then you will bleed even more. not good.
im trying to decide where to get a tattoo too..and i heard the foot hurt the worst but i you want it; go for it!
Whats with girls and tattoos, I HATE tattoos. Its like showing of that ur a rough and tough girl, most guys dont like that, unless there goth or something.
if you can take a little pain, then you should be fine.
if you’re still worried though when you go to get it…trying take like 2-3 advil or something. that’s what i’m going to do.
Very funny about the cupcake idea. Doesn’t mater what people say as long as you like it and it means something to you that you can have forever. The pain is different for all people but for it being on your foot it should be bearable, just think of something else while ur getting it done or take a friend to talk you thought it. Also don’t get yourself all worried about the pain cuz the more u think about the more your mind will tell you that it hurts, nd yo don’t want an unfinished tattoo.

i got my first tattoo yesterday! i thought it was going to hurt way more than it actually did. i got it on my neck. i found this site before i got my tattoo

no take a neddle and lightly poke ur self with it on ur foot and ull know the type of pain
it’s not painfull as the guy says only the ribs hurt. Don’t worry abotu tylenol u won’t need it….it’s not that painful. I know i got quite a few tats.
To me, it felt like I had a sunburn that was being scratched with a needle. It hurts, but the second the artist takes the needle off, the pain stops. It’ll throb, but the pain will be so much less. Plus, artists will take breaks for you if it hurts that bad.
I was wondering what other peoples opinions are on this?
