is it normal for a 1 and a half old tattoo to look like its peeling and have a scab?

Not sure how old you mean……but yes this is common for the healing process of a fresh tattoo.
1 and a half …what old? You didn’t say.
If days, it’s normal. Just a process of healing.
No way!, maybe you got an infection recently. Go see your artist or dermotologist
Going in the sun a lot can cause peeling.
Put lotion on it to keep it moisturized.
i dont think that its normal at all. its probably infected. or its completely dried out. try getting the most PLAIN unscented, non alocohol, un dyed lotion out there that you can get. maybe with some aloe in it.. (thats what they use when u get sun burnt) and try that. maybe itll help.
i DO NOT claim to know much about this as i dont even have a tattoo (but both of my parents do).. but thats what id do for a little while. or call and ask the tattoo artist about it.
Is it 1 and a half days old? Or 1 and a half weeks old? Either way, it is normal for a tattoo to scab and peel. Keep it moisturized with a non scented lotion like lubriderm or curel. Do not pick at the scabs as that can cause color fading. If you are really worried about it, call your tattoo artist and let him/her know whats going on.
