what should i get as a tattoo? i want to get something meaningfull and on my left hip.

When you get a tattoo, you should pick something that really means something to you. For example, I have the Kanji symbol for faith because my whole life I have been through one tough time after another and what’s gotten me through those experiences was having faith in the people I love and having the faith that everything would get better. Faith is what keeps me going everyday.
So pick something close to your heart, that way you will always love the tattoo and cherish it’s meaning.

Only you can decide something that’s meaningful for yourself, we don’t know you, we can’t do much other than throwing ideas around.
Only you know what is meaningful to you. I have a tiger and it means the world to me, I got it to remind me of my baby boy that passed a few years ago, but others may think its over the top and has nothing to do with them. You should take your time and think about it and make sure it is something you will love years to come because it hurts worse to have it removed! I have had mine for 5 years now and I still look at it in amazement, I am so in love with it. Also make sure you go to a place you can trust and a place that will be patient with you. You can go into the place and look at designs that you may like to get an idea and if you dont see anything you can have a drawing made of one and they can do it that way.

Shouldn’t you know what would be meaningful to you? Why don’t you wait until you actually find something that means something to you. I think you just want a tattoo right now that you don’t really care what it is.
Like everyone has said, it helps to pick something that means something to you, not anyone else, and definitely not something trendy, such as those tribal arm bands or whatever. Think about things you have liked for years and years, things that will not change about you. Some people get their zodiac symbol. Others get a cartoon character they have always liked. If you have a favorite sort of animal you have always liked, that is a good place to start from too. I have heard of people getting the same tattoo as someone else in their family has, usually a parent or a sibling who is very close.
I have several tattoos, all of which I thought about for a long time (at least a year) before committing to. I think back on things I wanted to get when I was younger and more impulsive, and am grateful I never did, cuz then I would be stuck with a bunch of tattoos I hate now. Choose wisely, and take your time.
