This piece of news makes sense especially since a poll that was conducted in 2008 revealed that about 20 percent of adults between the age of 40 and 64 reported having one or more tattoos. Another reason these age group is starting to get tattoos this late in life is because people are becoming more comfortable and curious about body art.

2. Tattoos bleed a lot. This is true and false. You will expereince some bleeding when getting a tattoo. However, the outline of the tattoo should rarely bleed, the shading of the tat is what bleeds and it will only bleed up to 5 or 10 minutes. Once you leave the shop your tattoo will 5a8 have stopped bleeding.

3. The tattoo needle that is used is a single needle. This is false. Tattoo guns come with needles that are clustered together and soldered in to groups of odd numbers: 3, 5, 7, etc.

4. Old tattoos turn blue. This is false, However, if you received a tattoo in the 50’s or 60’s you may experience this. Tattoo ink has improved greatly since then. Your tattoo will not turn blue.

5. Lighter color ink hurts more. This is a misconcpetion. Lighter color ink does not hurt more. The reason people beleive this is because the lighter colors are often applied last when the skin is the most sensitive.

Getting a tattoo or getting "inked" as it is known is becoming more and more common among women. Ever since Nadya Suleman gave birth to her octuplets the media is constantly all over her. Not only does she have the only living set of octuplets but she also has 6 other children putting her total at 14. She doesn’t have a job and hasn’t for sometime and she isn’t married let alone seeing anyone. She receives constant criticisms from society because of bringing her octuplets into the world even though she already had 6 children. She is also ridiculed for being a bad mother and trying to cash in on her instant fame, even though she is always denying she doesn’t want to be in the spotlight.

Then there is her uncanny resemblance to the beautiful Angelina Jolie, the big pouty lips, the long straight black hair and of course her 14 children. However, Nadya insists that she has always looked this way but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Earlier pictures of Nadya have proved that she hasn’t always had those pouty lips. Well Nadya has now added something else to compare her to the lovely Angelina Jolie. Nadya got herself a tattoo over the weekend. She didn’t go the same route as Angelina and get the longitude/latitude coordinates of the birthplaces of all her children inked on her arm. Instead Nadya got a tattoo on her back. She travelled quite a distance to Kustom Kulture in Hollywood to get her ink. She got a fairly large angel on her back that is surrounded by 14 stars. Of course it is being assumed that the Angel is Nadya and the 14 stars represent her 14 children.

Believe it or not tattoo artist have the right to say no when it comes to tattooing someone. Hand and feet tattoos don’t hold up as well as other tattoos because they are constantly going through physical “abuse” because those are the two ares of your body that are under the greatest amount of physical abuse as a result of normal everyday life. So some artist feel its a waste of their work, they are also aware of those tattoos needing to be touched up more often than a tattoo on your ankle, back, leg or arm.

The Autobot symbol was photoshopped on Megan’s shoulder by Empire Magazine to help promote the new Transformers movie. So to make things clear, Megan did not get a new tattoo of the Autobot symbol. As far as anyone knows Megan hasn’t gotten a new tattoo in some time, unless it is somewhere that can’t be seen.

People are now coming forward who have gotten a tattoo with this new “removable” ink and are saying the removal process isn’t as easy as the makers of this new ink are saying. For instance they state you will only have to under go one laser tattoo removal session. Well real life people are auguring that it takes six sessions just like it would with the old traditional ink.

The bottom line is people are missing the whole point about getting a tattoo. A tattoo is meant to be permanent and be with you the rest of your life. If you feel you won’t be able to live with a tattoo for the rest of your life, simply don’t get one. Don’t rely on a new ink method to save you. The cost of laser tattoo removal is far more expensive than getting a tattoo and it is pretty much guaranteed even with this new tattoo ink that you will have to under go multiple sessions to get rid of your tattoo. Not only does this new ink cost considerably more than your traditional tattoo ink, but if you decide you don’t want this tattoo anymore you will have to shell out even more money to get it removed. Simply put think before you ink. A tattoo is a life committment if you feel you can’t make it than you are not cut out to have a tattoo.
