I am getting a turtle on the back of my neck. Its a memorial tattoo for my Grandpa. I usually wear things that cover my neck, would it be really obvious to people if I got it done on the back of my neck?

I am looking to get a tattoo. I do not want it to stretch much. Will a tattoo on the back on my shoulder blade stretch much. I realize that all tattoos will stretch a little bit. But will it stretch as much. Also what other spots will not stretch much?
Also do you think a tattoo on the side just to the right/left of the abs would stretch?

I have heard that it is an old-fashioned Navy tattoo that can represent freedom and I love that idea. My boyfriend is going into the Navy and I want something to represent how much I support him, how much he means to me and how I want him to stay safe when he gets deployed. But I also want to make sure that I won’t attract gangs members or anything like that. Help is greatly appreciated!

I am a girl who is 18 in less than a month and I really want a tattoo I look on the internet all the time and its all the same things and most of them are too big and look stupid.

I got a tattoo in September 2008, so it has been several months since. However, i have recently discovered acne forming in and around my tattoo. The tattoo is on my left shoulder blade, and it is in a spot where i dont normally get acne. How do i get rid of this acne problem without harming the tattoo itself, and why is this happening?

So basically im planning to get a tattoo on my birthday next week and i want a chest piece. The tattoo will be from shoulder to shoulder like above my breasts but beneath my collar bone. It will be of a quote, no graphic or anything just words…not too detailed i guess. I know it will hurt because its a tattoo & all, but first off Im worried about it looking too "manly" with it being fully across my chest, and im not sure HOW bad it would hurt because most of the chest pieces ive seen are extremely detailed graphics. but yeah…can i get some input pleassse:)

I was just wondering if it was possible to get a tattoo while you’re out cold under an anesthetic like the ones you get at a hospital before surgery or something so you don’t feel anything? Because I know there a lot of people who want tattoos but are so scared of needles (I’m one of them) so would not be able to stand the pain. Is it possible? Sorry if this sounds stupid but I was just wondering.

I plan on getting my first tattoo soon, it will be simply three letters in old english font. Would this be considered an "easier" tattoo for the artist compared to others they may have done? Or is it all the same (wouldn’t think so). Pardon my ignorance.

I put a lot of walls and most people think I’m cold-hearted at first, but once they gain my trust and get to know me (which takes a while) I’m one of the nicest and most caring people they have ever met. I really want to get a tattoo that represents this. But not a heart with barbwire or chains/lock or anything like that. I want something different. Any suggestions?

My wife has mentioned several times over the last few years she wanted to get a second tattoo. she has one on her shoulder and she wanted one on her ankle. Which I was not really okay with but was getting used to the idea until she came home last friday with two new tattoos one on her shoulder and the other on her forearm. She had mentioned about a month a go she wanted to get another tattoo and she never talked to me about this after that. When she cam home I was upset because she didn’t answer her phone all day and was supposed to be home by noon so I was worried about what had happened then I find out she got two tattoos and now I am stuck looking at the one on her arm all the time( I have always disliked tattoos and she has known this even before we got married. Like I stated before I was getting used to the idea of one on her ankle and would like to have designed it so It could me something to both of us since the one on her ankle goes all the way around her ankle and has our three boys names in it but it stand alot higher than she had ever shown me before and I would like to have had it about 1/2 in high not 1 1/2 inches tall but the tattooist couldn’t design it any smaller supposedly. So now it really stands out and she had all ways told me she wanted it to look like an ankle bracelet. The one on her arm she tells me know that she has wanted it for a long time but I feel she is rubbing it in my face since I didn’t want her to get another tattoo because how I feel about them and what I think they make her look like. i asked her to get the one on her arm removed for sure since I have to see it as a reminder of her going behind my back. But I offered if she got both removed we could design a tattoo for her ankle that would look better first of all and then be smaller like an ankle bracelet and still include our children’s names with a little more graphics in it. I don’t want to be controlling but I feel we both have to look at each other all the time and we should both get to like what we see and not have thing within our control getting in the way of that.

I’ve read that the color can bleed on palm tattoos and that they tend to fade faster.
Does that mean fade away to nothing? How long would that take for that to happen (weeks, months, years)?
Is one place on the palm better than another, to get a good solid bright tattoo that stays? Maybe the base of the thumb? Or, right below the fingers?
And, would this be more or less painful than a tattoo on other body parts?

For a tattoo is it okay to bring a printed picture off the internet of the design you want(not someone else with the tattoo but a picture of the design)? Does that show your not committed to your tattoo and frowned upon or is it okay. I couldn’t find the picture i wanted specifically on anything i owned so i found a good representation on the internet.
