I need to get a coverup tattoo; what kind of tattoo will best hide my original?

I have a palm sized colored (violent and blues) theater masks on my right shoulder. Should I be looking for a tattoo with big black ink blocks, or something with a lot of color and detail?

And if you can suggest some free tattoo design sites, that would be helpful too!
