My tattoo is over a month old and heeled, but i noticed one spot is peeling again and red. Infection?

The tattoo is on the top of my foot. The redness is actually on skin that is not tattooed but between skin that is. I still put lotion on it everyday b/c the tattoo covers the entire top of my foot and is constantly getting stretched and pulled when i walk. Just wondering if you can get an infection this long after getting a tattoo and it being heeled? I have several other tattoos and this has not happened before.

Since your tattoo has already healed it’s definitely not an infection from the tattoo. Probably just irritated from the lotion and your shoes or socks, or just from getting stretched and pulled everyday as you said. Try giving the lotion a break for a couple days and see if that helps or try another kind for sensitive skin. Just rub some on after getting out of the shower and it should be good for the rest of the day.
Call your tattooist. He/She is the expert.
