I’ve heard that tattoo apprentices will do your tattoos for cheap/nothing because they need the experience. I’m broke, so I want an apprentice to cover up my small tattoo with a simple one. The only thing is, how do I call and ask for it?! What do I say?

Why are you looking for questions about tattoos if you don’t like them? If someone’s asking a legitimate question about getting a tattoo they don’t want to hear your BS propoganda. Get over the fact that people are different from you and have different beliefs and interests. If you don’t like tattoos don’t get one and leave the rest of us alone!

I’m getting a tattoo soon but I’m a bit confused. I want a custom done but I’m not sure how it works – do I have to draw the tat myself? Does the artist design it for me? Can I take a photo down with me and have a tattoo drawn from that?
I can’t design graphics for toffees so I’m wondering how this works? Thanks!

I know everyone has a different tolerance of pain, and all tattoos hurt, but on a scale of 1-10 (one being no pain, ten being unbearable) how bad does a tattoo on the back of the neck hurt?

Here are a few horse tattoo’s i found, my mom LOVED horses. She passed away this past 4th of July. I want to get something like "in loving memory of (her name)" at the top and then at the bottom something like Mother. Which would better way to put it? and here are a few links of the tattoo. I am 23 and this is going to be my first tattoo. I am thinking about getting it on my leg.

I just got a tattoo last friday and they did not give me anything to put on it. now when my friend got one from another place she got some kinda orment stuff. i am looking to find out what i should put on it for the scabbness of it. cause now it is scabbing. i know it is supposed to. i am wanting to know what to use to help it heal better…
the tattoo guy told me not to use neosporn or anything like that. he just told me to put lost of hand sanitizer stuff on it and wash it 3-4 times a day and run lots of cold water and i am doing that. it is really itchy from healing so i need to start the lotion thing just not for sure what kind. he said to start the lotion 3-4 days after…but i don’t remember what kind he said.

Before the lectures start, ironically, my mother is the one with the tattoo. I am 15, so not even legal for a tattoo for quite a while yet.
The tattoo that needs covering up is about the size of a palm, it is a shamrock with a mans name in it.
this is an honest question, but i understand if it sounds a bit trollish, sorry if it does.
what colors would you recommend?

I have already decided I am going to get a tattoo. The only problem is, I know what I want to say, but dont know how to shorten it up or the exact words to use. I want to get it on the back of my neck and the idea is" It takes only seconds for someone to walk into your life, but a life time to get them out of your head." First off let me state that answering that we shouldn’t do tattoo rings is not helpful.
My boyfriend and I are doing tattoo rings in place of traditional wedding rings, neither one of us want a real ring. I’m just trying to figure out a way to incorporate this into the ceremony. Any ideas?

I’m looking into getting a tattoo and I don’t want one that I will regret the next day, so I thought family means so much to me and I want a tattoo to represent my family but I’m just not sure as to what I should get to symbolize it. Any ideas?
I want something to not just represent my parents but all of my other relatives since my whole family means so much to me. But thank you all for the ideas. I think I’m going to with family and maybe love in chinese writing.
