I am planning to get a tattoo in the very near future and after doing a little research, I’ve learned that a lot of tattoo ink can contain toxic chemicals. There is no way of finding out what the ingredients are since the companies do not need to disclose this information.
Normally, the ingredients of tattoo inks would not be a concern; however, I am [what some people would call me] a "health-nut/tree hugger" and do not want to put anything in or on my body which could pose a hazardous risk.
So far, the only companies I’ve found that use organic ingredients are Starbrite, Eternal and Stable. Does this mean these companies use natural, earth-based ingredients? Or do they still use some of the same ingredients the other companies use?
Thanks to all who answer.

Hello,
Many tattoo artists say to wait a few days or even up to a week or two weeks before exercising or working out after getting a new tattoo. Does sex count as an exercises or workout that should be avoided during this period also?
Thanks
By the way, I am not talking about hard sweaty sex. I mean like normal sex at regular paste.

I have the caption -" Annie Lennox in Central Park" permanently displayed in the upper left hand corner of my new 55" Mitsubishi Television. It is just a light grey and only apppears when there in just a plain white background on the TV. It is almost like a TV Tattoo of sorts. Anyone know what caused this or if there is a way to get rid of it?

I draw well, and my friend recommended me to a tattoo shop where they are looking for a tattoo artist (I hope I’m using the correct term- I mean the person who designs the tattoos and draws them, not the one who actually tattoos you).
What are this job’s requirements, artistically and practically? Do you need to improvise on the spot, or can you design it over a period of time?

I’ve been wanting a (non-offensive) tattoo on my wrist for the longest time. It would either be totally around the wrist, or on the underside of it.
However, I am curious if others think it will be detrimental to my career. I work with computers currently, but plan on going to school to pursue a career as a veterinarian. My idea is that, when absolutely needed, the wrist tattoo can be covered with a watch, bracelet, or long sleeves.
What do you think?

Do they have nothing better to do??? Seriously, it gets old when you are trying to ask a question about a tattoo and some idiot comes along and says "tattoos are not attractive" or some other narrow minded BS. Maybe they just want two points? I’m not sure, but I know half the comments said on here wouldn’t ever be said to anyone’s face. So tell me anti-tattoo people why do you post in the tattoo Q&A forum?

Hi, I’m thinking of getting a tattoo but not sure of which design. It may be tribal, urban style or something simbolical. Once I find a good design I can print it out on an A4 and get it tattoed. Is there any websites on the internet that provide thouthands (?) of graphics for the tattoos of every type and style? Thank you very much!!

I have been thinking about getting a small tattoo of a purple raindrop with my mothers initials inside the raindrop. I would get it in between my shoulder blades. I was wondering how much it will hurt getting a tattoo there?
